For training to be successful an organisation must discover where it can benefit most from the application of training. It also needs to know if the training can achieve the desired results and that it is linked to culture and strategy. And as training is such a large investment and large investments require justification you need to have access to information that determines a return on your investment.

For training to be successful an organisation must discover where it can benefit most from the application of training.  It also needs to know if the training can achieve the desired results and that it is linked to culture and strategy.  And as training is such a large investment and large investments require justification you need to have access to information that determines a return on your investment.

Too many training organisations only offer a User Analysis which is part of the overall picture that an organisation needs to know.  As Ripped Orange are Organisational Training and Development specialists we offer the full range of analysis services.

Each of our analyses can be completed as standalone activities, or brought together as a part of a cohesive plan; often this is done in conjunction with the Technology Training Programme, in addition they are not platform specific so are suitable for both PC and Apple Mac users.

Training Suitability Analysis

Training is not always the right solution to the business problem.  With the Training Suitability Analysis we are looking at why the organisation is considering training as a resolution for an identified ICT business problem; we want to know if a skill change will resolve the issue in the right and most cost effective way for the organisation.

Content Analysis

Successful organisationally focused training must consider the policies, procedures, culture and strategy of the organisation.  Too many times training is taken “off the shelf” without quality consideration being given to the specific content of the company investing in the training; a band aid solution.  The Ripped Orange Content Analysis ensures your company’s policies and procedures are introduced to the training.  This approach is able to assist an organisation mitigating risk, for example, breaches of use of ICT tools.

Context Analysis

A context analysis looks at the history and attitudes of the organisation to training and the impact that may have on any planned training courses or programmes.  This ensures training is planned and pitched the right way to achieve the desired shift in culture, behaviour and skills that must be considered the success measures for the investment.

Cost Benefit Analysis

Did you know that training should cost less than the gains it provides to the business?  The right training solution will achieve just that.  At Ripped Orange we appreciate training ROI will have elements of subjectivity but we can get it pretty close these days, we have had lots of practice and lots of examples that have been incorporated into our ROI models.  As part of a pilot of our Technology Training Programme, this is one analysis service that is incorporated without question.

Work Analysis

A Work Analysis is looking at the skills required for a role and the performance competencies for each role group (or grouping) within an organisation.  This is a large undertaking and therefore would normally form part of the delivery component of the Technology Training Programme.  At Ripped Orange we have completed so many work analyses for our clients over the years we have a solid base of core skills matrices based on role types – something our clients get to take advantage of.

User Analysis

This is the one you may know as "gap analysis" or the all-encompassing “training needs analysis" service.  It is the identification of the skills of the current incumbent against what they need to know to be successful.  The output is a detailed learning recommendation or training plan.  At Ripped Orange we offer this as a standalone activity and as a key activity within the delivery component of the Technology Training Programme.
